New throttle body ?

So like a noob I cleaned my tb and washed the seal away. So now im looking for a new tb, are the the cheap ebay ones any good, or should I just get a used stock one. On the plus side after I finaly got my idle back down to 900 rpm the car never idled bette, it was really dirty. but with the gap on the thottle plate now it stalls more often than ever. Any advice for a noob.

There are few factory parts on an Evolution that can be bettered by the aftermarket. Good luck.

So what is wrong with it? You can buy new seals and a new gasket.

+1

If you don't do that though, just get a Full Blown throttle body lol.
I wouldn't recommend an ebay for the main reason you stated already; "CHEAP".

I don't have any issue with mine and I cleaned that gunk off 3 years ago just like you but never had any problems with it.

Here is a link that might help you.

So you washed away the seal and replaced it rt? and now your idle is high? and you think you need a new TB becasue of....?
If its an idle problem--likely you have a seal thats in wrong or a TPS thats not calibrated correctly because you took it off and didnt know it needed to be reinstalled in the exact position it came off. So back to the question....whats the problem that leading you to think you need a new TB?

Your saying the throttle plate doesnt seal. If you put a light on the one side you can see it all the way around the plate. Do you have the throttle cable to tight holding it open a bit?

I thought I had read a while back about there being this black stuff in the throttle body from the factory and when people went and cleaned them it messed up their idle. Maybe do a google search and see if you can find the thread about it. Possibly theres something you can spray in there to take up the gap. May solve your issue.
