IC Loose?

Cruising on the freeway and all of a sudden I feel a pop from the accelerator pedal and it wouldn't gas and started slowing down until I got safely to the side and stopped.

From a quick check with just a flashlight and not taking the bumper off the ic pipes are in tact. Will do a more thorough check in the morning, thanks for the replies guys.

Check your IC piping to make sure the clamps are tight. Also check your MAF sensor

when my iac died on me, my car would still stay running if i had my foot on the gas pedal. although i didn't have it crap on me while i was driving. you could pull the iac and check to see if it's still intact. mine was all chipped and broke when i took it out. good luck.

ic clamps were way loose and the top one was barely off. After tightening them all up in less then a minute she ran perfectly fine

I would suggest carrying around a small tool bag with 6mm-14mm sockets w/ ratchet, needle nose pliers, a regular and phillips head screwdriver, a couple hose clamps, and a flashlight. Those items will help if the situation happens again as those items will fix most things that could strand you and cost a tow
