Plus it's not as if highway patrol camps out on off ramps with the radar gun. And with only one lane in most situations it's not as if someone will magically hit you, unless you're riding someone's bumper too close.

First of all, this thread has been therapeutic for me. I've felt bad about getting on it (when I do). It's awesome to know that a bunch of us do this.

I also try to only do it on on ramps to the highway, but I like to get on it on the back roads/twisties

99% of the time I drive like a granny. If someone is on my butt, I'll let them pass or even pull over sometimes (if it's a 2 lane and it's safe). I'm not into racing on the streets. If it's the section of the road that I love to WOT and someone is riding me, then all the more fun.

With that said, this is what I want to do with it on the track someday soon (2013):

Twisties are fun but you always have to worry about people going in the opposite direction... On PCH near Malibu I have personally watched a GTI spin out in front of me and almost hit me, and I was just driving regularly. Luckily the road curved, and following the curve took me out of harm's way.

That's a great point. I've seen this as well. I don't go crazy. If I hear the tires start to squeal I know I've gone too far and back off. I usually like to brake hard, turn, then WOT, repeat.

I usually take it easy during the week, just the occasional heavy foot.On weekends I drive it harder...my work pays for fuel so I can't go too hectic.

I used to mash on mine all the time, but lately it seems like the higher the hp I have, the less I feel the need to beat on it. I just enjoy cruising in it for the most part now, maybe I'm just getting old .

Another granny driver. Go away redneck in the lifted truck, I am not going to race with you!
