Bored today to I made a ashtray gauge pod
So I found a way to smooth alot of the surface roughness but exposing the parts to acetone vapor. I basically built a rack and put the part in a steamer with acetone and took it out. For those who dont know acetone melts abs so a short exposure melted alot of the ridges on the outside but the basic structure is unharmed.

You can see the difference in the two. I figure expose to acetone->light sanding->prime->paint these should look amazing. I test fit before and after the acetone bath and it still fits snug. For the hell of it I also stood on top of the part and it holds all my 135lbs without any cracking noises

Now I know what size to get my AFR gauge in!
Now Im just waitn to get one of those angled gauge pods from you.
