he had froze as i was braking. His head hit my headlight and his body hit the fender/ side of the car.

You got lucky man.

If you were travelling at a good clip and nailed a big buck...$11k would have been an expected result.

My buddy works in unsurance...he said he isn't aware of any insurance company out there that would raise your rates for this type of collision (unless you were cited for excessive speed, wreckless driving, ect...).

My 11k damage I hit him at 65 mph at 1:15 am on Halloween night lol that was a great day. This was last year

Yeah. It could of been worse. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry or anything and had time to slap the brakes quick.

what the status of the deer??? hopefully you didn't kill him. As for your car, i wouldn't think they should raise your rates unless your one of these people who are constantly getting into accidents.

The deer lived. He just was a little messed up for a minute after the hit. My Appraisal for the damages was $1570 or so and my deductable was $500. Shouldnt have a problem repairing the damage myself for that price. Going to try to pull the dent out of the fender and I'm working on purchasing just the headlight lens off someone. As for the dent thats on the door I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Might take it to a shop, or Find a used door somewhere.
