yea coulda been a lot worse.. a LOT worse lol

 

yeah it's better that you hit it, than swerve and cause an accident. If you did that, THEN your insurance would go up

 

I had an accident involving deer in May. Swerved to miss ( don't do) and slammed into a group of trees. $12k worth of damage, full car load of people zero injuries. Check out old thread for pics. Insurance went up $40 a month no prior accidents, tickets etc.

 

WOW. How much was damaged in this instance?

 

Too bad he did. A year's worth of venison would've helped offset that repair bill.

 

All these dang animals. Couple nights ago I was coming home from work. It was raining pretty hard. I was coasting towards my house and out of no where a baby cat jumped in front. I swerved to avoid it but slammed my brakes in a reaction. Car slide sideways and hit my neighbors fence with my fender. This was a 10mph accident. Broke my fender

 

Could of been worse but good thing ur ok

 

I'm glad your okay, because I lost a friend doing something similar to what you did. Don't ever swerve to avoid an animal. Wether its a kitten or a bigfoot.
