For those of you with wider wheels/tires, how do you protect against rockchips?

I installed MR BBS wrapped with Dunlop Z1 StarSpec 255/40 17 a month or so ago, and I'm noticing some rockchips on parts of the fender that face the wheels. I don't remember these being there before, so I'm attributing from my tire width increasing from 235 to 255. It's not even like I'm going off-roading with the car though... I drive it on the side streets and highways.

I probably going to go with some rally armor mud flaps, but it seems that most of you with wide wheels do not use mud flaps. What do you do to protect your car against the rock chips then? I don't think fender rolling will really help because usually the look to shoot for is the tire at the edge or past the edge of the fender.

Or do you just man up, and let the rock chips pile up?

I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth having a nice car. Especially as a DD.

Mudflaps is a good solution
or just get "clear vinyl" and stick it on the area's where you're most likely to get the rock chips. You barley notice the clear vinyl (protective film), it doens't cost much, and you can do it yourself.

problem solved
