I hate to thread jack but can an el camino rear end fit an Evo? I'd love to have the first El Camevo. It would make hauling stuff a lot easier and replace the small trunk. I don't see a downside. Should bolt right up....yep.

That lancer with the X front really doesnt look AS BAD as I thought. Still pretty horrible though. The X front end is way to fat for the skinny lancer body.

I'm going to pretend that the OP doesn't exist and isn't a contributing factor to the future of the human race so as to not begin my downward spiral into alcoholism and eventual suicide as I more wholly grasp the harsh reality that we as a civilization are doomed.

To be honest, if you have the connections to custom body kits they may be able to design a kit that looks like a X but fitted for an 8/9. For that price I imagine it would be cheaper to get a full wide body 8/9 which looks mean on its own. Street legal time attack style.

You mean because we tried to direct someone into doing something besides wasting a bunch of money, time, and effort only to end up with a pile of car thats not worth anything to anyone? Yeah, were a bunch a *******. How about realizing that a community like this is going to have a collective knowledge of stuff like this and can spot a bad idea a mile away. If youP were serious about doing this you wouldnt be posting theoretical questions on an internet forum. You'd have an Evo VIII/IX and a Evo X front clip and he'd be out in the garage measuring, cutting, welding, and fabbing.

I did the conversion on mine. gorilla glue and zip ties worked like a charm. Just stick everything over the existing body panels and you are good to go.

I did it right after I put a S2k cluster in.

The real question is how to fit a subaru EJ25 in the engine bay for a lower center of gravity. I cut the stock coils, but decided it wasnt low enough, so i removed the springs all together, but still want lower center of gravity for better handling.

Any ideas on how to do that? Dont let the haters get to you. Being str8 legit jdm is hard.

Everyone here is an enthusiast. They're definitely trying to save you from having to explain yourself at the next meet you attend from the question " You spent how much money to do what?!?!?!?"

I was trying not to have to explain to him why nobody would buy his "highly modified evo" for $7500 in his for sale thread personally.
