What if they mark it up $500? or $1000?? Would you walk away from $500 over $500??

I forgot--I already have a $500 deposit down--1st at the dealer--since Jan of this year. The receipt says "at MSRP." They don't even cash the check until I order the options I want, etc. If I don't like the official specs, I simply stop payment on the check. I think I'll like it though.

Dude, I'm gonna do the same thing. Here's my plan. I had an eclipse RS AT, but I wanted to learn how to drive stick for the evo. I shopped around and traded the 'clipse in for a 98 Prelude SH. When the evo comes, i'll trade the lude in.

Wish me luck!

Well my lease is up on my 2000 Civic Si this December. My mom is going to buy it out of the lease and give it to me and say there you are, thats the last car I am ever paying for.

So, what I will do come spring or whenever Evo comes out or is the best time to sell my car I should be able to get $13k for my car at that time next year. With that $13k I will probably use a large chunk of it for a deposit (Dont know whether I am going to buy or lease yet) and then use the rest on monthly payments and then keep paying with whatever I am making or I have saved.

I am 21 and I still have 2 years of college left (I'm on the 5 yr plan )

I was going to get an Evo from EI, but it seems I am unable to do so. We are moving to a new house in the next few months and things like school/life have a priority much higher then the Evo right now. I talked to Adam from EI and he is a great guy; very friendly. Unfortunately, I couldn't go through with the deal. I truly wish I could, but I'm afraid times haven't been treating me right recently. Still, the first 40K I make in Real Estate is going directly to the Evo. Hopefully EI will do this 36,5K deal again, but maybe not. I'm only 20, so I guess there is plenty of time. Although this upcoming Monday, I do get to see the Evo VII up close and possibly get to drive it.....shhhhh

Let's look at the real world financing.

500-1000 bucks will be only small chunk changes in making monthly payments.

The Evo will be +30K w/ taxes or other added options. My bro has a 00 crewcab costing nearly 30K w/ taxes, and he's paying just over 600 bucks a month. Now, you have to count insurance too for the EVO, and it won't be 1500 a year.

I know a friend in the early 20's who had a 3g GT. He had to pay 3 grand a year on insurance for the GT! Now, the EVO will be even more expensive on insurance than the GT.

If you want an EVO, basing income model off my bro, you have to bang over 42K a year on your wage/salary. If you're making 13 bucks and hour, you won't make that goal of owning an EVO.

Heck, this is real world economics. Of course, the exceptions are lottery winner or life insurance benefactors from dead parents or grandparents.

Be thankful you don't live in NY, 3K a year is great on a 3g GT. I have been driving for 6 years w/ no accidents/tickets and I would easily pay upwards of 3K a year for insurance on that car.

Gonna sell my RSX in two years (which I'll be in college) and since I like barely drive it, the mileage should be really low enough to get me a good amount of dough. Got like another $5k saved up...probably need another $10k or so. Might end up borrowing from mommy

I'll get one

My father is a Mits dealer. Yes, I'm going to get one. That is if I bring home a 3.0 and I'm a smart person. My color is black or yellow.

OH YEAH, READ MY POST!!!!!!!!!
