ATF SP III Fluid Control Diff - What Fluid Is Used?

Wanted to know what fluid is used to fill this part. I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Evolution 5spd.

Also will this fluid being low cause me to not be able to shift gears? Clutch was really soft and easily pushed in and couldnt **** when car was on but when off it shifts perfectly normal and smooth, no grinding.

Yeh, Slave cylinder seal was damaged pretty bad so there was no pressure. Changed it, bled the clutch line and it was good as new.
