While explaining my issue over phone to a friend(mechanic). I told him the car pulls code for system rich... Puffs white smoke, has some sort of fuel cut at 4-5k rpms, has the service engine light on. Says its a bad injector, is this even a possibility? Said that's the way ill be able to pass emissions / inspection. Upgrades are gsc s2 cams, buschur racing the exhaust among others.

 

What's the code? White smoke is indicative of coolant being combusted, rich AFRs would be a black, sooty smoke.

 

Bad o2 sensor?

 

Thats only during idle. I forgot the exact code, but its been ran like 3 times and always rand code reading "system rich"

Yes, or p0172..all it says is system rich. No other codes. I really needa pass emmisions and inspectio buy dont know whatto do.

 

Pull fuel rail off and cycle the key and see if its leaking haha
