Car stutter problem (PROBLEM SOLVED - SOLUTION) PLEASE READ

Hello all,

Car idles fine, AFR reads 14.8 at idle. Just had my car tuned about a month ago because I replaced the gasket inside my engine and figured I just do a tuneup since oil was inside. So between 1st and 2nd gear at low rpm really under like 2300, my car stutters sometimes bad sometimes not and sometimes stuttering will just go away for a while. Also, full throttle car stutters bad and you can feel its not giving anywhere near maximum power as it should. Any idea what it can be?

Thanks in advance.

ANSWER TO CLOSE THIS THREAD
Today at work, driving to a building and my car started stuttering really bad to the point where the CEL did come on. Went straight to my mechanic checked the code and it showed (Fuel Injector 2). We had a look at the fuel injectors and low and behold the connections on the injectors were bad. The connectors have a metal peice attached to it which connects itself to the fuel injector and shouldn't come out unless pressed. So we took a big metal wire and cut 4 small peices, fitted it onto the injectors and they clipped in and don't budge. So the problem was, me being in NY (Brooklyn mainly since I work there) the pot holes are F****** rediculous so everytime I hit even the slightest bump it would shake the connectors on the injectors loose. SO THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM WAS THE FUEL INJECTOR CONNECTIONS -- MAKE SURE TO CHECK THEMMMM!!!!!

THANKS EVERYONE WHO HAS RESPONDED TO THE THREAD =)
I'M SO HAPPY THIS IS TAKEN CARE OF =DDD

I would not only check the gap, make sure you have bought the correct plugs for your car. I have had it before where I told them to grab a certain set and they gave me the wrongs ones...

Ok, what gasket did you replace? Head Gasket? Your explanation leaves me wondering.... Be very careful you know whats going on otherwise, you could be causing or close to a serious failure that will be costly.

You need to be more specific of whats going on and what mods, if any you have done to the car. Otherwise, we're just guessing in the dark here.

This could be a number of things. By gasket, are you meaning head gasket? That's a fairly in depth job and could leave a number of things to go wrong on reassembly:
Timing belt and cams a tooth off?
Correct plugs? If you bought them from PepBoys or autozone, make sure they didn't sell you lancer plugs.
Are your plugs gapped correctly? If your car is modded, the gap they come from the manufacture is more than likely to wide for your car.
Are all your vacuum lines reinstalled correctly?
Do you have any boost leaks?
Most importantly, did you add any new mods during this gasket job? If so, take those off for now and see if the problem is solved.

Car is stock except for a blow off valve and aftermarket timingbelt that was installed by the previous owner. This problem has happened before I got the tuneup so I dont think its anything to do with the plugs. Although it had happened before, it just went away after a few weeks and now it is back again.

Happens cold or warm. Also, I seem to notice it happens more frequently after I've finished driving off a highway back onto local roads.

I want to say there was another user here that reported a similar occurance with NO CEL and ended up replacing his Cam position sensor on a hunch and that solved the issue. Don't quote me on that.

Id like to know more about this keep me posted. I would say check your sparkplug gap. Im having issues in this department to a certain degree myself with studdering but the thing is my car is actually shooting a code code p0300 but I got aftermarket cams.

This could be so many different things. Spark plug gap. Cam positioning sensor. Or a fuel issue
