Resale value? 100k mile evos still consistently sell for 12k plus, and prices are not dropping any time soon.

I dont know about anyone else, but where I live, I got the Puerto Ricans down the road that used to do alot of Honda stuff, are now buying Evo's and STI's because the prices are dropping. Just saw an Evo with 140k miles sell for $8k

To the OP: If I were you, I'd keep looking. Look for something unmolested that is "mostly" stock. The biggest thing to keep an eye out for is the tune, and whether or not the turbo has been messed around with. You can find better deals for under $20k

10k is fair considering it needs some money put into it, it's an 03 and does have high miles with an aftermarket turbo. I'm thinking I will try to find something with a bit fewer miles though since this guy isn't even sure if he wants to sell it yet. I know an evo is an evo, but not all evos are equal.

He wont do 10k, ask him 13 with tax title and registration included pretty much 11.5k depending on your state

You guys are crazy. 10k for an EVO is dirt cheap. Especially with a GT35R kit on it.

good mods, but usually when they install 5 speed its because they beat the **** out of the 6.. but some people baby their cars and just prefer the 5... good list of most and a great price... id do this deal

Hahah! Same here, I don't really intend on selling mine. (though plan's do change). I paid more than what mine was worth, by I think a couple grand But buyer didn't have a choice to go lower and I wanted it sooooo

2 owners, one mild accident in 06. I'm driving tomorrow to check it out and hopefully drive it back.

A good friend of mine got a really good deal on an Evo 9, or so he thouht. A year and a half later, he has had to rebuild the motor and transmission as well as replace countless other parts. You would be surprised what damage can be done to a motor when a cheap autolite spark plug breaks. Something he got for 14k essentially cost him $7,000 or more. For $21,000 he could have gotten a sweet low mileage Evo.

That initial cost isn't what it's cracked up to be. You have to factor in what surprises it may give you on top of the regular maintenance. It can get expensive real quick.
