Ok, so about a year ago my car wouldn't hold an idle and pointed out that I had a bad IACV. Bought a used one and it fixed my idle problem. Fast forward now, my car idles fine, however with my A/C on it will not idle properly and will constantly die when coasting to a stop. Is it possible for the IACV to be bad even if the car will idle fine w/o the A/C on? I've had my tuner make the adjustments to my A/C idle up, but no changes. I just want to be sure before I fork out the money to buy a new one off Amazon. Car does has GSC S2 cams, but like I mentioned it idles fine w/o the A/C on.

 

What's idle RPM set at? I would check the tune again. Doesn't sound like the air idle control is bad, or it would shut off all the time.

 

Set at 1k Rpm's. Tom @ TSComp is my tuner, I trust what he does and he messed with my A/C idle and he suggested that the IAC is bad. It does seem strange to me as well because the car does idle fine w/o A/C on.

 

I've got the exact same problem.Car even idles low when cold and only gets to 1k after a minute or so.Low idle when A/C is on.My tuner has tried numerous times,no change...I've learnt to live with it.

Lol almost all the evos I've seen have AC idle problem.. mine does the same thing except my rpm jumps to 2k and comes back in a few sec.

 

So this might sound dumb, but I don't know how to attach files in a PM... haha
