Mini battery vs battery relocation?

Mini battery kit or relocate battery to trunk. Which do y'all think is more practical? Pros and cons?

depends, if you drive more than 2 days a week in your evo and dont live in super cold weather.. go mini battery and save the weight!

Otherwise relocate to the back and enjoy a less understeer =)

I wanted my battery completely out of the bay, and I wanted to leave the thing in the garage for more than a day and have it start. Besides, the Trunk battery box from Taylor is around $100 and SCCA compliant if you want to start going that route. It is just overall a better idea for my uses. I think weight is negligible to the standard operator. Besides, you're moving some weight to the rear.

I did both mini and its mounted in the trunk. The mini is a huge weight savings, and honestly i dont like having a battery clouding the engine bay.

Yeah I'm really not a fan of that big heavy battery taking up space either. It's already tight enough in there as it is.

I can relate lol. I did the same thing a while back on my old evo when my mini battery died or failed to start in cold weather. Was a great battery, just as small as the aftermarket ones and with warranty LMFAO.

Battery in trunk = required to have a shut-off switch mounted if you plan to race the car.
