hey, just wondering if you guys know how to convert or translate kpa to psi. i want to get a boost gauge for my evo but the only ones that i like are the HKS and the Defi gauges which are both in kpa.

1 bar = 100 kPa = 14.5 psi

1 bar = 14.7 psi

 

U can use a Thermodynamics Textbook or go online for conversions.

1 atm = 101.325 kPa = 1.01325 bar = 14.696 psi

All Defi boost gauges are NOT KPA. Mine is 1 bar vac to 2 bar boost.

 

the Defi gauges that i want are the ones that have the cool opening and closing thingy.... i think the site that i saw them on says only in kpa....

 

1 bar= 14.5
Greddy gauges it's 14.22=1

Kpa Blitz, HKS 1kpa = 14.7

 

the sport meter kit boost gauge is measured in kg/cm2 which is NOT bar. 1.0kg/cm2 = 14.22 psi

 

Yep that's what Greddy uses kg/cm2

 

people get those confused all the time

1 bar is not the same as most JDM gauges. theres a 5/10 kg difference. Bar is Atmospheric pressure, kg/cm2 is atmospeheric pressure measured from a sea level (if anyone cared to know the reason for the difference )
