Front end rails

Car was in a minor tap a while back in the front right. just was curious did a tear down, bumper and crash beam. do these rails look correct? In other words does everything look in place not bent etc. The car drives nice on the highway and feels good.

Define tap lol. If anything is bent from just a tap there is no way you'll see it. Would need to have it checked out at a frame shop and check out the numbers. Looks fine from the pics.

10mph into a snow bank with a little tree 5lb tree in it, supposedly everyone that knows about it said it was an expensive cosmetic repair with no structural damage, it wasent me another owner. Just wanted to search myself. The way im thinking of it is if the crash beam bolts in it obviously is right because the holes need to line up, And do these rails even affect the cars driving ability or are they to protect the engine and firewall??

10 mph slide into a 5 lb tree probably just did cosmetic damage, I had a buddy that did a 25 mph slide into a poll and only did some core support damage, of course it was a dead center hit, so it bent the intercooler and stuff too.

Yea thats what he told me he had no reason to lie he did not sell it to me it went to two other people before me, the only reason i ask is because in those crumple ridges or whatever in the inside of the right rail i think i seen two tiny marks i thought they were kinks but there so small a i dont think a camera would pick it up and theres no indications anywhere on the rail no cracked paint anywhere. Im just so pursuaded that these cars are so easy to total

Modern cars are getting to the point of being total from a crash to help transfer the impact away from the occupants and I would say too that you cant judge frame damage by looking at the vehicle. It needs to go on a frame machine to be checked.

I agree with you guys somewhat i just dont see how you would not see something physically bent and how would it align and track straight. And i can take my hands of the wheel going 80 and go straight lol. Such a confusin topic but interesting. I also measured a while back the edge of the rail to the headlight box thing on the side same measurent along with some strut measurements

Realistically though do you guys think this could have tweaked those supports at about 10mph? i think the crash beam was on. I already had the car checked at a body shop they ran through the car on a lift with a tape measure and came to the conclusion that it was sqaure, im just very into the car and looking around for stuff. This is what they came up with
