Does this tensioner look normal?
Thought they extend further... Can someone let me know? Searching only shows them with the pin. I'm replacing the belts, crank sensor, and trigger plate due to a bolt somehow lodging itself in my timing.

Looks normal to me. When compressing to reinsert the pin do it slowly. There is a small orifice inside that you are forcing thick silicon oil through.

How many miles are on the tensioner? Normally I would recommend replacing it just because its one of those things you don't want to do again.

30k is on the tensioner. No leaks so it must be good, just looked a little odd that it only has a half inch of travel.
