Will it fit? Muse UICP + Intake Kit + After market Air Box?

hi guys, i recently bought the muse ic piping both lower and upper pipes for stock battery...and i didn't realise the uicp couldn't fit stock route with the stock air box in place

so now i have to opt for an intake kit. i was looking at a standard silicone pipe (MAP, FP, Ebay whichever) and attach the MAF to it, then MAF adapted + Vibrant open funnel air filter which AWD motorsports sells.

it looks like most if not all intake kits fit the muse upper pipe with stock battery (see pics here http://www.vr-speed.com/muse-motorsp...6-evo-8-9.html)..

here in Oz its illegal to have a open pod and it must be closed off, so i need a airbox/induction box to cover it up, i was thinking about the AVO box with the CF lid (http://www.tuspeed.com/avo-evo-carbo...kit-p-420.html) but im not sure if it will fit, if it does can someone let me know?

also what other options will be 100% fitting in my situation, as i dont want to go blind and buy an intake kit such as ETS or Perrin or mix and match like i did up top and then buy an induction box only to find out it wont fit the piping...

heres the avo box in action with a intake kit but the UICP is Greddy..which is different fitment position to the Muse UICP

i have the muse pipes, and you don't need to change the intake pipe. Just take off your stock filter box, pick up a MAF adapter and add an open filter. The kicker is whether or not that aluminum box cover you posted will fit.

Seems like it can be hard to figure out since most guys run open air filter. My Evo came with one but I didn't like the noise so switched back to stock box. ETS is the same way, only their short route uicp works with stock airbox, along with a small battery though. I've got both coming to be installed soon. I've never seen that box, looks interesting. The only other one I've looked into is the ARC, which can be hard to get/expensive now. I'd like to know how the noise of each compares to stock. As far as intake tube, I was curious myself if it's worth getting one when running stock airbox. Haven't come to much of a conclusion so I'll probably stick with the stock one for my upcoming tune. Looks like this one on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silicone-Induction-Intake-Inlet-Hose-Pipe-MITSUBISHI-LANCER-EVO-7-8-9-CT9A-Blue-/271183093664?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f23c59fa0&vxp=mtr is Samco directly from China or a Samco copy.

Obviously it makes more sense to not use a box, but he said In Australia you can't have an open filter

looks like ill have to sell the muse piping and go for another set...i dont really want to buy something else again and it comes and doesnt fit with it :S and i dont want to go for a custom box because quality of the shop that makes them varies and i might not liking the end product.

so i did a little snooping around and found a few pics to go off.

heres a pic of the muse uicp stock route pipe installed with a pod which im asking for a box/cover to go on.

http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9993/img2612t.jpg

and heres the avo box installed on a completely different car w/o the muse piping of course...

http://www.users.on.net/~chris.matth.../EngBling2.JPG

from the pics there, what would people guess on that box fitting in the first pic.?

..this is the best way i can think of doing to get a rough idea if it will or wouldn't, besides taking a stab and installing the uicp and then buying the pod/intake and then the avo box and checking if it does
