Uhh.. what the hell? Dealer just called me

Some girl from my dealer's service department just called me and said i'm due for a 6k appointment. I wasn't aware there was any 6,000mi checkup? My last oil change was at 4000 something and they said I wasn't due until 8500? I was planning on taking it in in a few hundred miles anyway. My question is, what the hell is included in this 6,000mi checkup? I asked the girl and she said she had no idea and that a service advisor would have to call me and he won't be in until Monday.

yeah, I usually do that too. I'm just curious as to what is "included" in this. I have some extended waranty garbage that lets me have free oilchanges/maintence for 30k or something miles.

I really didn't pay too much attention to anything when I originally bought the car since I was planning on doing all of my maintence myself, but **** if it's free, i'm all over it

i would be willing to bet that its the normal (3000mi) maitenence. they just do that with everyone. but every other oil change youre supposed to rotate your tires too. so maybe that?
