Can't find oem jdm evo bumper.

Ok, so my car recently got violated and I'm in need of a new rear bumper.

I have been searching for the last two days for an oem jdm rear bumber for my evo 9, and I can't find a single one available. It's like there is currently a down time in getting them from mitsubishi. I have searched the forums. Contacted multiple vendors including driveline, mitsubishparts.net, lancershop, and evasive. Everyone seems to be sold out and waiting on mitsu. It also seems like mitsubishi isn't painting them anymore so whenever they do come in they will be blank.

Lancershop is the only one that said I could special order it from japan and it would be 6-8 weeks for the new unpainted ones. I'm a little afraid of ordering from them after reading some comments online, and also knowing they don't have it on hand. Has anyone ordered a special order item from lancershop like this?

Does anyone know where I can find one available, or from a reputable dealer/vendor?

Not sure about your vendor question but I can clarify the paint issue. The bumpers are painted from Mitsubishi but they are only painted Wicked White, which for you, is exactly what you need. All others with different colors would have to get them re-painted.

Really... well I wasn't told that. Thank you for the info. Is the fake diffuser looking part painted wicked white as well? or is it the standard grey mica?

I did try driveline first actually and they told me they were out of stock and might get some in about 6 weeks.

And I'm scared of not buying oem, as I want it to be flawless and urethane.
But thanks for the info.

Ive been looking at those as an option, but it's FRP and I want poly so I don't punch a whole in it when I use my car a a battering ram.... joking.

From my research it looks like the oem polyurethane ones are the strongest with the best fitment. I have read through multiple thread on this forum that suggest oem over anything.

Thanks for the info guys! My search continues! I never thought it would be this hard to find this bumper. Why couldn't someone hit my car sooner!!!!!

Stay away from mitsubishiparts.net. i got mine in the last batch they had arrive in april. Shipped without a box in only foam paper, and beat to ****. Wouldnt exchange, wouldnt refund my money, wont reply to threads, nothing. F**K mitsubishiparts.net. will never order from them again and will continue spreading bad experience with them until my situation is resolved.

Yeah they were the first place I called. They were also nice enough to see this thread and PM me about their status. Unfortunately they are currently out with no ETA. Just like the 10 other places I called. If anyone has any clue where to find one please let me know!

Sticking with oem for the rear jdm bumper is your best bet. Good luck with finding a place that has them in stick though. Pretty much every place I've contacted has them on order and it will take FOREVER to get them in. Maybe you'll get lucky with a person online parting out their evo.

That's the problem, I would have already bought one if anyone reputable would actually sell one. But no one has them in stock or knows when they will even get one, so I can't even order one.

I'd wait, but I can't find a place to wait for... wow.

Since you are in Wa, Id order one from Russelll at Mitsubishiparts.net and then go pick it up. No shipping so itll be cheaper and you wont have to worry about damage during shipping. Thats what I did.

Russell from mitsubishiparts.net also hooked me up with mine, brackets and all i waited about a month and came in wicked white. Came in a box wrapped nicely and was brand new, if you had a bad experience i think you should of contacted him directly since they do alot of business on here and im sure do not want a bad name. That would be the only place i would recommend, really good price as well since he also did a bulk order from japan
