Evo 8 SSL gets first for me since it (2005) was the first evo to get acd and the larger 10.5 turbine. HID lights and all those bells and whistles.
RS because its the gutted version. I have always had a thing for factory produced gutted out versions.
GSR is third because I prefer the 5 speed over the six.
MR-- Im not a fan of the 6 speed gearbox.
I second Tommi on the SSL. My first Evo was black with SSL, loved driving it in the summer, not really a fan of leather though.

MR - I like the 6spd, but have all the rs perks, plus suspension and HIDs.
SSL - wanted the sunroof
GSR - basic, but awesome
RS - I will never own a car without power and radio. I'm not rallying, I'm driving it to work

RS. I rarely turn on the radio and I don't believe in luxury features or power gadgets. I do believe that the Evo needs to go on a diet.
I prefer the look of the black leather interior over the two tone blue accent interior, although for whatever reason, the bolsters on those cloth seats snug you better. On my SSL seats I actually have gotten bruises from my left leg rubbing against the door from sliding around that much during track events.
