i'm starting to think that maybe the car is "cam'd" i realized that the car seems to pull alot harder now than it did before i tightened that clamp.

its probably not cammed you just had a boost leak, affect the power of these cars and spool up quite abit. What mods are done to your car? And welcome to the evo world I came from a 06WRX myself and am now working on my 3rd evo. Its a different world but its an expensive one. If you had a subaru your used to buying ebay parts that actually work NOT THE SAME FOR EVOs lol. If you ever up in VA area send me a pm You can take a ride in about 4 different evos with different set ups. An EVo 8 with cams and a fpred, a evo 9 on e85 with a fp red, a evo 8 with cams and an overpriced over rated HKS Gt turbo, and a Fully Built AMS Evo 8 MR with some GT series turbo (I didnt tune it but its a friend of mines).

Before you mod your car or go "big" I suggest sending out a thread asking local evo guys to give you a ride. Most of us are really nice and will give hell rides for fun since we like the reactions. Try to get a ride in a EVO 9 turbod evo 8, a Fpred evo 8 and a GT30 or bigger evo 8 and ANYTHING on E85. It will change your world. You think WRX's were decent? You havent seen **** yet.

WRX are weak sauce. Haha. To build it up to an evo competitor would be stupid. Haha. I've always like the evolutions better anyway. But I will still build and awesome forester.
Here's a quick clip of my car.
I will be going to Norfolk in September for a week or so. I'll keep you updated.

what I was told as far as mods:
HKS intake
HKS exhaust with cat delete. Some random pipe in place of it
HKS BOV(mod?)
EVO 9 turbo
Some sort of tune. This is mostly my concern. It does have 2 step though.
Stance coilovers
Fake 18x9.5" rims wit vato zone spacers
Rebuilt tranny
Rebuilt transfer case
IX Bumper
Missing fender liners.

I don't plan in going to big. I plan on rebuilding the motor or finding a 9 motor. I want at least 400whp. I feel is reasonable for these cars.

If that doesn't have cams in there, I'd be surprised. Previous owner didnt tell you what was in it?

CajunPower sells t-bolt clamps for everything, whole kit is $30 online.

Could be cammed, could have an EGR issue. Both will cause the car to idle like that. I'd go with cams, though.

I took my lights yesterday to reseal them. Because of the bumper removal I noticed that the fan was broken. Now I know why it was unplugged. Can I run the car with that off?

The HKS BOV leaks. I pushed the piston/gate in and it didnt retract back. HKS intake is broken. I'll post pictures in a few minutes.
