Help with iac!

Hey I have been having issues with the car starting and then instantly dying. I have been trying to solve the problem for weeks. I pulled the IAC today to test it. It was completely black. I plugged it into the connector and had my girlfriend turn the car to the on position. I hear ticking but the plunger didnt move. Does this mean its bad?

Well IAC didn't fix the problem. Does anyone else have any idea what the hell could be wrong with my car. I am getting so frustrated and no one seems to know what it could be. It just starts idles for a few seconds then dies instantly. If I rev the engine when starting it then it will keep run and idle like normal.

yeah but once I give it gas it continues to run fine. Wouldn't a boost leak be constant.

Do a diagnostic check. Is the engine light on? Check for error codes.

Maybe cam sensor...?

Replaced spark plugs, EGR solenoid and IAC. As far as mods the car is stock except for a HKS turbo back exhaust, BLOX filter, AEM wideband 02, aftermarket boost gauge, aftermarket clutch and flywheel. Nothing that should cause it to run like it is now. There are also no visible vacuum leaks either.

Also there is no check engine light or any other light for that matter.

I would but I don't have an air compressor.

What I meant by no visible vacuum leaks, is that I checked the lines and they are all connected.

You could have a leak at your fuel injectors or your throttle body seals.
