So I bought this car from a guy in Illinois a month ago. Said it had a full ams exhaust. Seemed to be true. The muffler matched ams site and so does the bolt pattern. It's a 3 bolt flange. So I order the ams test pipe to eliminate my cat and it's way too long ( included pic) Has ams changed the design through the years? That's the only thing I can think of.

 

yes there was a revision a while back

 

Just gut the cat and throw it back in. Problem solved.

There was a revision a few years back unfortunately and now only the longer versions are available.

 

when i got mine, it came with an adaptor for the stock cat. if you take the adaptor out, it should fit the test pipe. the test pipe will eliminate the adaptor. check to see if you have the adaptor. it goes..... downpipe to cat to adaptor to catback exhaust.

 

Called ams and they don't make it anymore.
