mitsubishi 2 pots 15" slips no spacer!
just wanted to share with everyone my experience with these brakes.

i followed this thread. i didn't want to drop 1k plus for a wilwood kit as my car isn't nearly that serious, so i went this route.
i'm very happy with how well they stop. they don't have near as much stopping power as the brembos but overall they work great, and have no problem stopping the evo.
the best part to me is that they can fit a 15x7 +40 rota slipstream up front with no spacer! there is a ton of room up there! even more so than the rears. i can get a finger or two between the caliper and the rims.
these rotors weigh in at 13.2lbs each, but unfortunately the calipers weigh around 14lbs making the total weight similar to the oem combo. it does however lose weight where it counts (in the rotor).
the total cost for this kit is around $200-$250 using rockauto/dealership. I am using centric premium rotors and pads.
heres a quick pic

just passing this info along for my fellow budget racing brethren, just in case you haven't seen the thread, or if you are ordering stuff, and are planning on ordering spacers like i did.

Did you but OEM calipers new from the dealership or was that part used? Def interested in this as a MUCH cheaper option for a drag car as I don't see the need for $1k Wilwoods unless it was a show car or you just want that name brand

the only parts i got from the dealership were the bracket and banjo bolts.

i'm not sure what that homogolated brembo kit is, but it sounds very expensive.

i have wilwood brakes but dont know what size it is for my drag car.
but i am searching lighter wheels for 16" or 15" .
what is the weight of your rota 15*7 wheels?
and what it will give to me if i will change from 16" to 15"
speed will be higher at the end of the strip?or i will finish at the smaller rpm ?
[QUOTE=mercedesbenzs50;10840876]for what evo this rota wheels?

i believe most who are using the wilwood kit have to run a spacer with these wheels. i'm unsure of the required size.
these wheels weigh 12.9 pounds or 5.9kg each (according to rota)
not the lightest out there but excellent for the money spent.
the biggest advantage to switching to a 15" vs a 16 is that 15's are lighter, the same height tire has more sidewall, and there is a bigger selection of slicks to choose from. i think the hoosier quick time pros are the only available option for a 16" wheel. nearly every company makes a full slick for a 15" wheel.
the wheel size wont make a difference in rpm at the finish line if the tire is the same height.
