I wanted to have my license plate say "Poverty GTR" but it wouldn't fit.

I dunno, "PERVERT GETTER" sounds kind of cool to me. Long as it wasn't my car or anything,

Quote: Yea I know what you mean but I wouldn't want to drive a car with a paddle shift, I feel like it takes some of the fun away. Anybody can hop in and just mash the pedal. Great machine regardless, just wish a manual option was available.
I really couldn't disagree with you more.... in a straight line I could understand where you are coming from, but on a road course there is a hell of a lot more to it then just smashing the pedal.

My favorite part about the GT-R is its gobs of torque, it literally rapes out of corners. Its steering is super sensitive which is probably needed after throwing that car's weight around. The worst part about the car is its brakes, although large in diameter they are actually quite thin and its always the first car to fade.

I do like the R8 alot, I've not driven the base v10, only the GT version, I wouldn't agree about the pint point steering, I feel the body has a strange twisting roll feeling to it... but my experience maybe slightly jaded from also driving a 458 and MP4 in the same session. A 458 is so extremely easy to drive and super forgiving, the McLaren is literally a racecar.

Hilarious.

Great write up. Love to hear different point of views.

Is that Mark Summers the guy from double dare holding a wine glass infront of the R8. From far it looks like him or i'm just crazy.

GTiJoeJoe - I couldn't agree more about the 458. Top car on the planet...at least until I get to drive a MP4 apparently. Thats on my list. My "pin point" R8 comment was on a new R8 with 1300 miles on it and no paddles. Maybe the different clutches change it up a bit? I was shocked how good the R8 was.

Here is my first drive in a 458. Great car, but it's supposed to be great. No surprise. I followed that up with a newer Porsche Turbo. You got to love new track guys who show up in a cabriolet. How about the Z8. What a rare car that was and how cool to be tracking it! I had a martini on the rocks...shaken...not stirred when I got out. I try... Finally, the new TT RS is in between an EVO and a GT-R. Nice car, but needs more power.

BlewBuYou66 - looking up Mark Summers now from Double Dare. Why do the pictures only make me look fat and nobody else? Here is as close to Hollywood as I get. Anyone know who that is? Taken two months ago.
