I didn't realize that defi gauges were inaccurate. I guess I will look into stri gauges. I have also consider AEM.

The Manual DEFI gauges had problems... The units with the electronic control, have a self calibration mode which no one seems to know about or care about using.

Defi is way overpriced for gauges that are often reported as inaccurate, but they're mad tyte JDM y0! Before all the JDM fan bois jump on me, here is some data to back-up my claims:

Prosport is very hit or miss as far as quality.
Glowshift gauges are garbage.
Thanks for the write up I like the Defi's to but so expensive ;/

I went with both AEM and ProSport gauges. I figured the wideband was the most important and got that in AEM. I then bought the prosport evo oil pressure and boost gauges. I couldn't see myself buying $600 in AEM gauges. I have had no problems with the prosport gauges.

Whatever oil pressure gauge you end up going with, I would recommend getting one that taps into the system and does not use a sandwich adapter as those have been known it leak.

I have had my Prosport EVO series gauge since a week after I got my car, have had it for about a year and have this to say. Right from the start I noticed how poorly it is made, the wiring is cheap and thin, I always feel like a wire will snap when Im messing with it. The gauge itself doesn't read 0 when the car is off it reads -2. Which doesnt matter that much to me because its accurate when the car is on, the thing that I dont like is that it reads slow, I really want to go back to a mechanical gauge. For wideband I recently bought an AEM and already I can tell the quality difference. Just keep this in mind.. Autometer is simple and affordable Ive been looking to switch to that..

I don't understand why most people recommend Defi and it seems to have the most issues. I am confused on which boost gauge is the best. Which Autometer series would you recommend?

For the most part it comes down to looks but make sure you stay with a quality brand like AEM, Defi, Stri, Innovate, Autometer, etc. Prosports have had lots of problems...some people love them and others have tons of problems so it might just be a quality control thing.

With that said I run Stri gauges. I didn't carry the product line when I picked them up but after I ran them for a few months I signed on with Stri so I could which should tell you something. Their DSD gauges give you a ton of features for the money and their X-Line is a quality gauge for a pretty incredible price.

With that said I'll throw a shameless sales plug out there and let you know that I carry pretty much all the gauge lines from Autometer to Stack so if you want something let me know. I typically come up with package pricing on gauges since most people buy more than 1.

I had the Defi BF's for over a year and not 1 problem.

Switched to Prosports Premium and had not one problem.

I have the Zeitronix LED now. Same thing.

I don't know about the other lines of Defi's but the BF's were accurate started the whole black face (Can't see anything on the gauge) afaik.

Ive had a werid constant issue with my prosport mechanical boost gauge. Their customer service was great and they replaced my guage with no questions asked. I still kept having the same issue with the replacement gauge so idk what to make of it.

This is what would happen. Only after an autox run, never after a hot lap on a track or any driving on the street, my gauge needle would stick at the "0" mark regardless of how Im accelerating. I checked connections and leaks, I verified that this was an incorrect reading. Like I said, their customer service was great but this has been too annoying so Im gonna go with a different brand and see what happens.

Does your gauge use a pressure sensor or solenoid? You may want to consider replacing that next.
