gsc s1 and s2 cams?
gsc s1 and s2 cams?
how do you tell the difference between GS 1 cams and gsc s2 ccamsby just looking at the cams. I think I got s2 instead of s1? On the cans it said s2 somewhere on it small letters
I remember my s2's had GSC stamped on them but I can't remember if S2 was or not. Rig up a dial indicator over the cam get a friend to turn the crank by hand and measure the lift then match it up with GSC's specs.

S2 requires new valve train.. The s2-in and s2-ex stand for intake and exhaust. Make sure you check the lash or ur car won't make power properly.. Trust me I went through this with a shop and paid for the install and then went back cause they didn't do a lash test. They claimed they did and still the same result. Call gsc and ask for Greg. I have an evo x so the specs may be different and u midnight jot have to change the buckets. Again call gsc and verify. Good luck hope it works out for u
I wouldn't go past 7k with those on factory springs and most Evos have no need revving much past that. If you want S1s, I bet someone would swap you straight up or you can sell those for $400+ pretty quick.
