I need stock seat front belts and cant find any local evo8 seatbelts but there are a few base lancers in the junkyard that I can pull.

Will these work?

They will fit. The Lancer used a dozen different style belts (mainly color differences), but several of them did overlap with Evo belts. There are year to year changes so you might want to stick with same year, but honestly I can't tell a difference that would matter right off hand.

 

i dont know about lancer but on the evo version the seatbelts are made by takata

 

Some of the belts work with evos and some don't.

My Oz rally belts did not work with evo seat buckles. But in some cases they do work if you find the right lancer.


However, if you grab the lancer belt and the buckle off the side of the lancer seat and then put that buckle on your evo seats they will work which is what I did. It all comes down to a diffrent shaped buckle between the applications.

ALSO... the shoulder belts can be installed into the wrong side of the car. Make sure you install left into left and right into right. Otherwise the belts will lock up and not fuction properly. Ask me how I know, lol.

 

Just swap both halves of the belt and i dont see why they wouldnt work?
