AEM Wideband staying at 14.7/8

So I wired up my AEM without the sensor plugged in and it read 14.7 (I know it shouldnt be reading anything) My problem now is that I finally plugged the sensor in and its reading exactly the same, nothing has changed. What could the problem be?

Ok,when you turn the ignition on(don't start the car) it should self calibrate and show numbers 111,222,333........999,then REn,UO6,POO,14.8. Do you see all that?if not check the wiring.good luck bro.

I installed it, Red wire to a fuse powered by ignition, black to ground, and the sensor wire going straight to the 02

Was it brand new when you installed it? That happened to me recently and it turns out the sensor was bad. Got one brand new on Ebay for under $50 and it fixed the problem.

But did you get the whole kit from AEM(o2 sensor included) or you bought just a gauge from somebody else, and sensor separately?you know maybe sensor is shot or simply different sensor that ain't working together.

Make sure you locked the sensor all the way into the plug. After that do this:

crappy video, but more or less you get a rag and you spray it with parts cleaner, and you put the sensor in the middle. Your gauge should go full rich. if it does not you have a bad sensor.

That's... strange.

Maybe a faulty gauge? It happens.

Have you tried contacting AEM?
