Which flange with ETS FP HTA Turbo kit ???
Which flange with ETS FP HTA Turbo kit ???
Hi
I was searching for a FP HTA 3076R turbo kit, i see that ETS have a nice turbo kit, i hope i can get a better price as an evom member LOL.
My dude is which flange is better ??? I tought that vband was better because they have a better seal, then my tunner told me to go with a T3 ot T4 flange. Now i found ETS have those with twin scroll and twin external wastegate. So which do i need??
I think T4 twin sroll and twin wastegates are the best set up??
Thanks

I think you will find that different people will tell you different things based off your goals and such.
Are you trying to build an all out 1000AWHP race car or are you ok with 600ish.
If you are looking at the ETS kits give em a call they will tell you what you need and what not.

3076 I would go with the single scroll T3 option. Spool is awesome, transient response is perfect. Good power up to the mid 500's. If your looking for more HP. I would look at a 35R variant.
Any questions, let me know!
thanks!

What will be the difference with the twin scroll?? better spool than the single??
For that set up i will have to forged my block, i was planning to use a tomei 2.2 stroker kit. So, should i stay with 3076 or go with the 35R ??
Twin scroll spools up around 200-30rpm's faster depending on the cam setup. The stroker motor will help a decent amount. If your looking for 500's at moderate boost go with the 35R. The 30R is going to make a peak of 500hp, but not the most efficiently.
500whp on a 2.2L will be arond 25-26 psi where the 30R will need to be upwards of 30psi

It depends on what your application is going to be. With a T3 you probably be running a smaller exhaust housing and have faster spool and more power earlier on than with a T4 flange.
Twin scroll is more expensive but will give you fast spool with still maintaining power at higher rpm's. If you want twin scroll though, make sure you also use a twin scroll exhaust housing on your turbo.
If your after the 500whp range I'd go T3, if your after 600+ twin scroll for sure to give yourself lots of room on your power band.
