Summer time start up

Before I pull the trigger on ordering up parts, I just wanted to verify I'm going in the right direction.

Issues I'm experiencing only seem to happen when it's hot out (90+ degrees). When I start up, the car runs roughs and has more of a loppy idle. Sounds good actually but I know it's not normal. I notice the wideband shoots leans if I let it idle for a good, but tends to go away completely when I drive around. It hasn't been a huge problem and I can easily ignore it, but maybe there is something to gain by fixing this.

I'm guessing this is caused by vapor lock or the fuel rail heat soaking from the engine/intake manifold? It gets hot in the engine bay this time of year.

To combat this, I was thinking of installing a Phenolic intake manifold spacer/gasket along with removing/disabling the EGR.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Vapor lock will usually prevent the car from starting, not cause a strange idle.

You can check to see if it's vapor lock by checking your fuel pressure.

I'm going to guess and say, because my fuel pressure stays consistently at 40psi at idle, it isn't a fuel delivery issue.
