Boost controller required?

So I just had some parts installed on my evo 8, being an AMS fmic, evo 9 turbo, Megan 02 housing, and a FP 18psi wastegate actuator. With these bolt-ons am I required to run a boost controller? Or anything else besides that?

What are you using to tune? Factory ecu? I'm curious I just picked up an evo 8 and looking to do light mods such as yours.

I havent tuned the car yet but yes I will be tuning on stock ecu just wanted to make sure i didn't need boost controller although I didn't have my ets licp installed because I'm sure with that I will need a boost controller and tune. Would this be correct?

You can tune it as it is of course.but do you want to extract more power by raising the boost?if yes then boost controller needed or 3 port ebc.if not then leave it like that(but that would be strange).

umm, after paying for those parts you dont want to get a 3-port or MBC? it only a hundred or so more. just get it and re-tune it will perform better than the factory 2 port.

Its not that I don't want to buy it because it is afterall an inexpensive part but I just needed to know that not running one would be ok as far as possibly damaging anything. Mbc seems like more something I would go for as far as it being a bit easier to install and its a pretty straight foward part

do it now, like Nike just do it , a 3 port ebc is the way to go.
Keeps boost nice & tapered under high boost..

So a day after all these parts were installed, earlier today i tried to go WOT, boost cut out at around 25 psi and I immediately threw the cel for overboosting. Is this because of which parts I had installed or because I really need a boost controller now?
