So I've owned two evos and various other cars, 97 eclipse gst, 01 integra gsr, 03 g35, 06 evo ix, 03 audi a4, 05 evo viii.

I know the list isn't extremely high end cars but I could say that I have never had the urge to really give a thumbs up to any other vehicle though I am a car enthusiast for many makes and models. I love old school domestic cars, exotics, and our high end japanese GODZILLAS, SUPRAS AND NSXs.

I recently received a thumbs up from a ferarri on the highway and then today there was a line of about 5 G35s clean at a stop sign which two of the drivers gave me the thumbs up!

Have you given the thumbs up or have others given you the thumbs up for your EVO?

I just think it's odd but I personally like it! I don't think I would be so quick to give a thumbs up from A LOT of other cars. Drools yes but random thumbs up?

Thoughts?

 

I always do when I have my windows down. It's a nice gesture and makes the owner feel good like they're respected. Obviously it made a positive impact on you because you're posting this thread.

Even if they're not high tier cars, if they're clean and well put together I'd say they deserve it.

 

That makes sense. I just haven't found a car to give the thumbs upto. I give the head nod and wave.

 

I get a good amount of comments cause I keep it clean while maintaining the car and never rice it out.I even saw one kid no older that 15 years old about he was like nice Evo I'm like why he know about egos I said thanks and kept cleaning up the car.

 

Still new to the evo community but earlier today I received a thumbs up on the freeway from a Hyundai genesis, I gave gime a nod, lol. It does give a good feeling.

 

I repainted my brembos and the other day Guy rolled down window and says "nice brambos fat ***" .it felt good.

 

I get a good thumbs up often specially from other Guys with nice builds and lately a lot of older guy in there muscle cars give me the what's up and nice car.. But stupid kids with there fart sounding civic always try to race and hating lol. I just laugh and keep in driving cuz it will be a waist of gas.

 

My car gets a thumbs up from every 8 year old boy I drive by

 

i get good gestures, but no thumbs up. someone asked me if my car was the from the fast and furious. i said its similar. i dont know if thats good or bad. i liked it though.

 

I usually have people giving me the finger, not a thumbs up. I guess it's because I tend to drive like a dick sometimes.

 

I don't think you drive like a Dick.some ppl are stupid.I get finger too when on the freeway I pass the car on left lane doing
50mph.I don't know why they get offended.

 

OMG, I know what you're talking about LOL. I give thumbs up to anyone with a decent car. I like to spread the auto love. Don't make evo owners look like douches, like those other guys....

 

I give thumbs up to anyone deserving. Most recent was a clean STi, he gave one back. Just a respect thing I think

 

It's a good feeling to see people checking out my car! Many people have said "sweet car" at stop lights. Who wouldn't like that
