Who sells hood dampers these days?
Picked up a set of these:
http://www.redlinetuning.com/QL-MITSU-EVO-0306.html
Had good reviews and a nice warranty.

Is any drilling required or does it use existing holes/bolts?
^ Yes, you drill into the hood and fenders..they use rivets on the hood and bolts on the fenders. The install instructions are on the link posted.

ProsportGauges.com has them as well. I have them on my 8. They even managed to survive a front-end collision on my last 8 a couple months ago. Transfered them over to my new 8, they still work just fine. Great product.
GReddy makes them, available here http://www.z1auto.com/
and I'm pretty sure Tein still makes them too.
