I have the optional guage set and installed it myself. If the kit is located in the lower (below the heater controls) DIN slot it will be pretty hard to use. I moved my radio down and mounted my kit in the upper DIN location. When I bought my kit there were not alot of other choices.

The guages are OK, but not ideal. The boost guage is hard to read, especially when you have your foot down - it's too far to the right. The oil temp guage is OK, but takes the temp from a sensor in a replacement drain plug (pan temp). The volt guage is mostly a waste of space for me.

Overall I'm glad I have the guages; the boost and oil temp are useful. If I were to re-do them I'd spend the extra money for a better set-up.

The mitsubishi gauges are prolly the best looking gauges ive seen. I just dont like the location they are put in. Relocate the radio to the lower deck and put the gauges in the top. Looks dead sexy.

Yes, $250 is a great price.

However I would rather save $250 towards aftermarket gauges.
I wouldn't buy stock.

i'm going to get them at some point, thanks for the $330 link. Aftermarket has some good gauges but no matter how expensive they are they still look cheap and out of place. The stockers have the symbol and won't decrease the value of the car, unlike aftermarket gauges.

It's a good deal compared to retail, but if I have been looking for gauges since I got my Evo and the ones that appealed the most to me have been these: http://www.evomoto.com/product_info....products_id=80
They're real CF, they're in the perfect position for viewing during racing, and I can put whatever I want in them.
