Exclamation NEED HELP : EVO 9 stalls on 2nd gear shift after launch control

My shop and I have been dealing with this issue for about two weeks now. So to start, I have an EVO IX SSL and has the following mods that I think is relevant to this issue:

FP Black
Stock headers, 02 housing and catless downpipe
Stock Intake manifold
Stock ECU
Speed density, maf delete
TurboXS Intercooler and piping
FIC 1250 injectors
255 walboro (hardwired)
Sparktech Ignition
Exedy Twin Disc HD
93 tune
272 Kelford cams
EGR valve delete

So here's the problem. When I launch the car using 2 step launch control, it takes off fine on 1st gear WOT, however as soon as I hit 2nd gear the car seems to just shut down. So as usual we did the basic trouble shooting and at first we thought it was a fuel cut. We checked the injectors and the fuel pump and we also checked the spark plugs and everything seems fine.

We checked and swapped out intake and exhaust cam sensors, cam position sensors, mivec sensors and even checked the heads and everything checks out.

We did some logs and its really hard to read the logs when the car shuts down. It feels like an ignition cut and it goes rich.

I did more testing and this problem only happens when I launch the car. If I roll into it, from 1st gear WOT to 4th gear the problem doesn't happen.

Any experience on this problem please chime in and any advice or inputs will be appreciated.

For now, our next step is to take out the engine harness and check for wiring issues.

Thanks!

Problem Solved

Resolution :

We did fix the problem! We reloaded the ROM and flashed the car and gapped the spark plugs to .24. Problem solved. Launch the car dozen of times and it takes off like it should. Turned out to be a corrupted file.

Shoutout to the guys from Atlantic Motorsports for figuring this out.
