I don't have experience with the sport comp series, but the sport comp boost guage comes standard on the SRT4s and they're having problems with those guages.

i had autometers for a few months, got my Greddys now thanks to Mark from Quantum Racing by the way car is running great. I saw how people reacted to me having a $30,000 car with those cheap guages and i realized that they sell a certain series of them even at advanced auto, thus i finally realized i installed rice into my car so i dropped them and i realized how inacurate they were when i had my greddy boost, aem ems pulled up, and autometer boost reading at the same time, the greddy was right on and the autometer was off about 2-2.5 lbs of boost.... so ya im never buying autometer again unlesss they decide to make a new system of electronic guages like everyone else is doing and not mechanical anymore. the Japanese manufactures have way more features on their guages which i like, you can set redline warnings for just about everything and you can go back and see your peaks and stuff. just helpful stuff like that that i think is worth the extra cash...

I have the Autometer boost guage and it works fine. Only complaint I have is the autometer cup, which didn't seem to fit the guage and the bracket puts it up too high for mounting on the steering column.

I've never had a problem with them and they've survived 3+ seasons in the rally car. If that is not abuse, I don't know what is.

Ah, the thread that will never die. From my experience the mechanical Carbon Fibre series works very well. However two things bother me.

1) You can get one that isn't calibrated _exactly_ right. It's an analog gauge though. It's very hard to get exact measurements.

2) The kit that comes with the pressure (boost, oil pres) gauges are little a finicky. I thought the gauge was faulty for weeks before I found a tiny leak.

I have been using AutoMeter Gauges for years and will continue to. They are accurate, affordable, and reliable.

Bought an AutoMeter SportComp series boost gauge, and it's still dead on a year later. Verified by a dyno.

I have the Ultra lite 30 psi/vaccum gauge and it reads 2psi's higher. At full boost my gauge reads 21-21.5 psi's which i think is false unless an rmr intake and hks cat back can for some reason increase boost on an otherwise stock evo. I am also not satisfied with the lighting, during the night it is almost impossible to read the numbers. Looking forward to replacing for a defi when the $$$ is available.
