Poll: JDM Rear or Coilovers

So my fiance wants to get me something for my Evo for Xmas and it has come down to 2 options. Either a set of Fortune Auto coil overs or an OEM JDM Rear. I really don't know what I rather have so I figured I'd ask you guys. I only drive the Evo on weekends and dont race it at the track or auto x in case anyone was wondering. Which ever one I don't choose will be the next mod on the list.

Well personally I would go with the JDM Rear just becuase it seems it's getting harder and more expensive to get. I'd get it while you still can.

In regards to coilovers most people don't recommend them unless you are going with >3k coilovers.......for me...I will prob. buy the Fortune Autos or BC Racing one day because that will suit me.

I cant justify spending that much on coilovers. ~$1500 is about the most I would spend especially seeing that the car doesnt see any track time and is driven once a week. Its definitely a hard choice between the 2 though lol.

Agreed. I only drive mine on the weekends and I don't want to invest anymore than 1,200 if possible.

like others have said, JDM rear. I lagged it for a while but I love it SSSSOOOOOOOO much. way cleaner since the USDM is too bulky and since you don't drive it much, the coilovers wouldn't suit you right now until you take it out and go crazy all over town lol

I would go with coilovers, yes the JDM rear would make the rear look cleaner but coilovers would make the whole car look cleaner.

JDM rears are becoming harder and harder to find. And more and more expensive (Would you believe they were 500 bux shipped a few years ago).

I say coilovers first. It looks so much meaner when it's lowered imo

JDM rear for the rarity factor. coilovers are always available.

They still make the JDM rep and sell on eBay. It's really not that hard to find, or am I just getting lucky?
