T-Case O-ring - Can I still get this?
T-Case O-ring - Can I still get this?
I need this O-ring pictured here, it is between the snout and the T-case of the output shaft that connects to the drive shaft. My car is a '03 EVO 8 GSR.
What I find weird is that when you do a T case service the procedure calls for you to remove this so get it out of the car to make it easier. Well you'd think this O-ring must be replaced or lost at times, so i am hoping something comes through for me, if not I am going to have to get measurements and start giving out what dimension it is because I know others will need this.
Any help on where to get this would be great, no luck at the dealer..

If you look at the pic the one you're showing is not the one I need sir : )
I ordered several other o-rings for my transfer case from the dealer including that little one that goes between the transfer and the transmission. BTW, this little o-ring comes in a package of two, I guess they figure you are bound to lose one. I didn't order the one you need but if I could get the others from the dealer, no problem, why not that one?

G/L and let me know if you find it. I walked into the dealer with the part in my hand and they still couldn't find it on their system. I kept getting the wrong part so I just gave up, mine was in decent shape still so I was able to re use the old one.
I will see what type fo research i can do, I am thinking this O-ring is more of a "manufacturing O-ring and not really something that gets replaced much from Mitsubishi"

They show kits, but I'm 100% sure you can call and just ask for the o-rings. Like the prior post, you should get the large, and the small o-ring just in case. Good Luck.

I have seen in other threads where you can call and get that specific seal. I have also seen where people have just pulled them apart and used RTV then stuck it back together. Either way should work. I do know that Jacks sells them because I almost bought one. Turns out it was the seal between the driveshaft and Tcase that was leaking on mine. Not the pictured seal.
May have to. Called STM no luck - What I am honestly thinking is that the o-ring used is a circular and then takes the shape of the picture shown, or I at least hope. I called STM a minute ago and no luck they cannot source one.
