Replaced IX alternator, and now its blown the fuse :(

Finished up my TCase and Transmission install last week, then I suspected the alternator of going bad.

Had the typical battery and brake light illumination.

Finish the pita alternator install, and hooking up the battery resulted in blown 100a.

Didnt think I dealt with any grounds during the task, any ideas?

Thanks,

- Phil

100A popper is typically going to be a main cable short to ground.... odds are you had the battery hooked up at some point while the alternator was unhooked and the cable touched metal.
