I've used rock auto for certain parts. If it's a nationally or internationally known brand with a good reputation then I'll try a part. Gates, timken, raybestos, etc. but I research each part before I buy it. I'm a picky azz. If it's some no name part made in china then I probably don't want anything to do with it.
A few times when I needed just a normal part for my non loved vehicle I was surprised when buying an aftermarket part and get the stuff in and in the aftermarket package was an OEM part. That is a roll of the dice though.

Here's a discount code I got from them. 5% off till Jan 12 2014. 1844993015936584
Stick the code in the how did you hear about us on the cart page. And no I don't know any of the people that work there or have anything to do with the business. Just a guy that buys parts.

I use them all the time. OE quality stuff or equivalent. Buy stuff for my DD civic and 4Runner. For evo, I get part numbers and get better deals than anywhere. Example, NGK one step colder plugs only like $1.60=super cheap. Bought belt for a/c delete. Bottom line, know what you're buying and have part numbers. RockAuto usually has it.

Good post, I am in need of a radiator and debating on buying one from RockAuto for $130 (cheapest one is $65) vs OEM one for $700. I think I could get away with RockAuto radiator? Ordering a few other things too like plugs (NGK) wires (haven't decided what brand yet) radiator hoses (Gates) belts (Gates) and a few gaskets (Gates) Seems they do have a bit of name brand options.

depends on what you get. they sell a lot of name brand stuff like denso, ngk, gates, etc. I wouldn't get major things from them, like an engine or whatnot, but they are good for some things.

Be selective in what your ordering. I've ordered a few parts from them with no issue so far.
Outside of that: use companies like STM, mistubishiparts.net and JNZtuning for the important stuff.

best of luck!

I have been using rock auto for years..... they have been great... you can usually find a 5% off coupon pretty easily too....

there are some parts that are generic, but just do your research.... they do sell NGK, Denso, Mitsubishi, factory parts..... A lot of the stuff they sell, is the same stuff you would get from the dealer, just need to do your homework first....

I use Rock Auto for all my cars. spark plugs, radiators, etc, etc. Quite a few of the brands they list are OEM suppliers.
