Noob question

I cannot figure out why I am having a hard time with this but I cannot figure out why this wire is so tight. I'm just replacing my valve cover and of course the last thing I take into consideration is what hangs me up..

Where does this wire go and better yet what is it?
I can't find a clear diagram anywhere and from what I see it loops to the plug directly left of the fuel rail. It was getting dark so I didn't have time to chase the other end. Looking to make this a quick job, like it should be, after work tomorrow before dark.

Thanks in advanced!

If the on that is unplugged in the pic goes to the front o2 sensor the I believe that is the Crank angle sensor.

Yup that is the 02 that's unplugged and I found the service manual showing me exactly what that was. My question is still there though, why the hell is that so tight that I can't just slide it to the side to lift the cover off?

That is the crank sensor - the connector is right between the fuel pressure regulator and valve cover. The connector has a tab that you push in and it just pulls up.

I got that if you see my last post. I have it unplugged, male from female. The male end is out of the way up by my injectors right now. The female end is what runs over the valve cover and down the block. It loops around and looks to sit on something that I cannot release or is that what you guys are saying has another push connector on?

For some reason my photobucket app isn't working so I can't upload pictures. Everyone just says pull up on it but it definitely has some resistance.

There is a metal "post" that the femal side slides down on and locks in place if you wiggle it enough and pull up it'll come off. May need a flat head screw driver. It's held on the same way the oxygen sensor connector is held to the valve cover...but then again it looks lilt the bracket that holds the o2 sensor down is already off.
