Help! Speed Density Question.... Car not running right
My car is stock turbo (10.5 hotside) full bolt ons, cams, and E85. Stock Block
My car has a really hard time doing cold starts, and the warm starts are "Alright"
When in parking lot or anywhere else, in first gear if i put the clutch in, the tach drops to 500 RPM and wants to die. The only way to fix this is by giving it gas.
My shop is Road Race Engineering, and 2 different guys messed around with the car for about 2 hours. Guy said there is a spike of hot air when blow off valve opens ???? dont really know what that means. They said i need a speed density kit or sensor or something???
My question is what is speed density, why do i need it, and they qouted me about $100- $200 in parts and $300 for a retune (Ball Park)
HELP!!!!

So, do you have a Mass Airflow Sensor still? I can't understand your post... did RRE recommend going to speed density? Or do you already have a speed density conversion and are having these problems?
FYI, as best I can explain it on the internets:
Speed Density is an air metering system that uses intake manifold absolute pressure vs air intake temperature to determine the amount of air in the intake manifold. Mass airflow metering systems use a variety of ways (hot wire, air vane, ect) to measure air as it comes in the intake. Two different approaches to the same concept: measuring the amount of air entering your engine.
