This is why we spend hours researching the best parts, seeking help on a break/fix and sometimes find ourselves in that dark place asking if we should keep or sell her when she lets us down.

On a good day such as this the engine spins like a top, its 75 degrees out with all four windows down (Sorry SRT4 guys) and that CD that has been stuck in your radio for weeks plays all the right songs as you drive the Tortilla Flats run in Arizona.

Here are my two POV clips I recorded of the entire run up to where the road turns to dirt and back. Recorded with my looxcie attached to my ball cap. (The return run was a bit more aggressive and had the sun in my eyes but makes for a pretty cool lighting effect thru the steel girder bridge.)

Its been awhile since I've driven that country. I miss it.

I remember pulling into St. George one day and the heat hurt just walking across the Arby's parking lot. Inside, my first stop was the restroom. Coming out I saw a young man coming to work in his Arby's outfit so I asked the temperature. "114 degrees", he said. I commented, "Then you must like working in here." "Better than my day job." he said. "What's that?" I asked. "Roofing." he said.

 

Reminds me of coming into New Mexico..
