pretty much my car is going to be down for about a week with this tensioner tool on, compressing the tensioner, is there a time limit this tool can be in before it messes up the tensioner? like for instance i wont be able to get cams in for another week am i ok to keep the tensioner compressed that long? any input is appreciated thanks!

Indefinitely.
Remember when you buy a new hydraulic it will come with a grenade pin in it, and has been sitting that way sometimes for years before it is sold. If you want to remove it you can always find another grenade pin or at worst a small drill bit etc to hold it then you can remove it. Just be cautious with drill bits, you don't want the "drill" portion to go through the piston, or the tension will keep you from pulling it out.

good point sir good point, thank you very much, i was just unsure because with the tensioner on it, it is PAST the point of grenade pin and compressed more, but i guess it just really doeasnt matter thanks again for the input! now i can rest easy! lol

Ya I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bugs you, back it off a bit and/or put a pin in it.
Barely related side note: I had a Kia van (same tensioner design, more or less Mitsubishi block) come in to my shop last week that someone had installed the tensioner (mechanical) incorrectly... they had that piston bottomed out entirely in the hydraulic and had been driving that way for months.
