Buying and evo with 138k

It looks brand new and for 10k it seems like a deal Anything I should worry about when buying a high mile car such as an Evo.

If not this Evo I found an Eclipse gsx for 6k with 84k 5 speed black really nice I am torn between the two at the moment

only thing I have against the evo is that I driven and oz rally for 3years and their are very similar. I fear that it might not excite me as much as the eclipse or an evo X

I haven't got the figures but I imangen insurance will be similar as well

I have the money for both However if I got the eclipse money would go for evo 8 rims, evo 8 steering wheel , and evo 8 seats. And performance parts I need a 12 sec car good for auto cross and drag to beat my cousins and fiends mustang and camaro's. I am sick of my econo box oz rally I am a car guy cant be driving this any longer I need something I can work on ever other weekend. I am huge in old school muscle and what a Trans Am but dont got the garage space. so I need something that I could DD even though winter sorry evo

LOL, an Evo & an OZ are NOT similar at all. Maybe the body style, but thats about where the similarities end. If you are torn between an Evo & an Eclipse, maybe you just aren't ready for the Evo yet...

If you plan on keeping it, modifying it,etc... Than I don't see a problem. There is a guy with an 8 with over 333,000 miles.

For the evo, you may want to see if the dealership will let you take it to a reputable evo tuner shop to check if it was modded before or ragged out.

138k is a lot. If I were you I would keep saving and buy a lower mileage one.

Salt and rust Can not stand it and I hate to see old cars that were driven in snow because they are rotted. if you seen the bottom of my oz you would hate to drive an clean evo in snow

LOL clicked link, huge red flags being that he claims its a stock turbo when the pic of the engine clearly shows a tubular exhaust and an external wastegate.

it was modded a little but its better than all stock because it shows mechanical ability and that he may cared for the car and did the maintenance just cant get a hold of them now

Get it checked out, spend the money and have a reputable shop check it out. They will know what to look for. Wheaton? IL? if so, take it to AMSPerformance!

Just saw, that's an AMS tubular exhaust manifold, not cheap.

Are you seriously questioning the integrity of a post for a 9500 dollar evo? Lol I've seen totalled salvage evos go for more on copart. seller says he's strapped for cash. I'm thinking there's more to it than..lol
