What is this?
What is this?
My day just keeps getting better and better.
Cannot figure out what this is, broke it while trying to pick up a dropped socket. Any idea what this is? And would epoxy be good enough to put it back together or should I buy a new piece all together? Thanks for your help

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm thinking about just throwing some epoxy on it and hoping for the best. I am going to be taking it to CBRD for a tune in about a month. Should I be worried about anything ?
I apologize about the rookie questions. I come from the muscle car scene and this is my first turbo car. Once again I appreciate the feedback

It controls how much boost gets pushed through the system so if it doesn't seal right with the epoxy it could cause you to overboost, or underboost. You might get lucky with the epoxy and it will work but I would replace it. A lot of people have good things to say about the grimmspeed boost controller, I personally use a hallman mbc, but I still have the MAC boost controller that came on the car I can let go for cheap if you need it send me a pm or look around the for sale section for another.

I have a tru boost boost gauge installed as well as the manual boost solenoid. When I originally got my car tuned the shop owner told me he didn't change the boost using the aftermarket solenoid. I am new to this stuff so I am still kind of learning. I just don't want to mess anything up. Thank you for your insight
Just throw a gm 3 port solenoid on there and have them tune it with that. Ecu will still control boost and it will be a lot better at it also. You could also use the grimspeed 3 port since its plug n play if you're not comfortable cutting and soldering in a pig tail. Oh, and I definitely would NOT epoxy that!! If you clog the port it would not be good at all.

If you have access to ecuflash and a cable you're supposed to lower the wastegate duty cycle down to 50 and tune up from there. The 3 port solenoids hold a lot more boost then the stock solenoid. The stock wgdc maps are all set to 100 instead of 60-75 which Is where most ppl's maps end up with a 3 port. So if you can't turn the wgdc down with ecuflash you could technically run a 3 port without tuning for a little while but you will have to stay off the boost and definitely not go WOT at all or you will more then likely boost around 30+ psi and could easily blow your motor. So to answer your question, yes, but stay off the gas and don't go wot at all.
****that is a pierburg boost solenoid*****
THE BEST SOLENOID available in our opinion- but you have to be careful not to break the plastic nipples
if you need another one let me know- we typically have them in stock-
