Currently registered on this forum so I can get a feedback from those of you that know more about the EVO than I do. I'm looking to buy an EVO and want to hear your opinions on this particular model. Check the car fax too and tell me what you think?

Besides the check engine light, price seems fair given the miles. Tough judging from the pictures though. Look for signs of prior modifications. Usually the valve cover gets chipped up when doing anything major like turbo kits and such. I'd be more concerned about the CEL though.

 

It looks like ots in decent shape but at that mileage it should have had 2 timibg belt changes. One at 60k and another at 120k. Also I'm curious why there are no engine bay pictures sisince without them I can't tell the extebt of modifications.

 

Hard to judge from pictures but price seems ok. Why no engine bay picture? IMO, You must check evo in person and test drive no matter what.

 

With it being an MR, make sure it has the Bilstein suspension. I remember someone local around me bought an MR model and got the stock suspension from a base model (GSR model).

 

Had the same thoughts as above

Since its being sold by a dealer means they likley bought it for 12K-13K from the owner

Have them put it on a lift & check for improper mods. Fender liners, exhaust & down pipe changes, undertray missing, original yellow Bilsteins

Not a bad asking price but would offer less than 15K if all checks out

 

My assumption is a rebuilt title that says its clean. Thats low for a evo ix especially from a dealership
